Regional Leadership Roundtable Background and Purpose

The Inland Empire is a priority region for the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) because broadband adoption rates in the Inland Empire lag behind other regions in the state. CETF is collaborating with the Inland Empire Regional Broadband Consortium (IERBC) and the Inland Empire Economic Partnership to explore strategies to accelerate broadband deployment and adoption in the region as an imperative for economic prosperity and quality of life.

  • Update civic and community leaders on the status of broadband deployment and adoption in the Inland Empire and throughout California.
  • Report on the status of policy strategies and funding programs for broadband deployment and adoption in California.
  • Explore and reach agreement on strategies to increase civic leader engagement to incorporate broadband solutions into other priority initiatives in the Inland Empire.
